A Swiss biotechnology platform company that invests in people and ideas to develop therapies and technologies to improve healthy aging and prolong lifespan is looking for a General Counsel to build up their legal division in their HQ in Zurich.
General Counsel (m/f)
Responsibilities:
- Build out the legal function from scratch covering all aspects of legal operations to support business growth across an emerging biotech platform company model
- Corporate Governance and acting as Company Secretary
- Responsible for all transactional, M&A and commercial matters including preparing the company for a potential IPO
- Partner with the leadership team to formulate and drive overall business strategy of the company while providing practical legal advice relating to applicable laws and regulations, as well as contractual obligations
Requirements:
- European or Swiss Law degree
- Substantial legal in-house experience in the Biopharma or Life Sciences space
- Commercially minded corporate and commercial generalist passionate about Biotech and cutting- edge research in a cause-driven sector
- Strategic mindset and ability to grow out a legal division and work closely with the CEO and COO
- Excellent written and oral communication in both English and German
