As Global Product Manager Taste & Wellbeing you will manage the assigned Naturals product portfolio and develop strategies. You will give direction to efforts across the value chain to ensure Givaudan’s leadership position within the relevant markets to our goals and the product offering strategy. This role can be based in Kemptthal (preferred), Naarden, Avignon, Cincinnati, Hackensack and you will report directly to the Head of Global Strategic Initiatives.

You will:

Own strategy development and implementation 

  • Manage and set the direction, and provide the single point of ownership for the Taste & Wellbeing Division Naturals strategy and drive toward the 2025 financial ambition 
  • Develop execution plan, through holistic, cross category umbrella view
  • Promote decision-making on product priorities for innovation, origination, agronomy, responsible sourcing, resource allocation, investments and marketing 
  • With global Marketing and Regions determine and implement a unique value proposition and communication strategy to position the Taste & Wellbeing Division as the market leader in Naturals across categories
  • Encourage and follow up on the activities of the Naturals strategy execution streams, provide quarterly updates about progress, issues and results to SMC and provides updates on the 2025 Naturals strategy to IC

Drive Programme Management

  • Manage the Top Naturals programme to ensure the right quality, cost and supply of the important natural materials
  • Evolve and recalibrate the programme in collaboration with Global Category Management, Origination, Science and Technology and Givaudan Flavour Ingredients to maximize commercial impact

Understand Markets and Trends

  • Identify and address with different functions overarching issues affecting the Naturals business (regulatory changes, sustainability requirements, etc.) 
  • Monitor the market dynamics and establish opportunities for differentiation along the value chain, specifically for foodstuff and food ingredients
  • Maintain knowledge of the competitor space and products
  • Communicate changes and propose corrective responses

Take ownership for Sustainability within GCM

  • Make Sustainability an important part of the GCM Offering and Naturals strategy
  • Provide input for the Cardex Sustainability Index (CO2 footprint) and define requirements for traceability, biodiversity and responsible sourcing

Collaborate cross functionally

  • Work with Global Category Management, Science & Technology and Givaudan Flavour Ingredients to determine the ingredients to be inspired toward ownership position
  • Provide Cross Category input to Operations and Supply Chain to address production capacity, site network and procurement requirements
  • Build the Givaudan captive ingredients list in collaboration with Science & Technology improvement management and work with Operations on tolling decisions to protect IP

You Have:

  • University degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology, also degree in Business Administration or Marketing
  • At least 10 years of flavour or food ingredient industry related experience with emphasis in product management
  • Several years of successful track record in developing new business or commercializing products 
  • Technical background in flavour or food processing and ability to develop deep product knowledge
  • Fluent English skills, other languages are an advantage
  • Comfortable working with diversity of groups, both functionally and geographically
  • Experience in navigating through matrix environment
  • Experience in communicating and presenting in front of our partners from different levels
  • Provide perspective, is creative in approach, originate ideas
  • Experience in project management and solving challenges
