As a Senior Technician in Pilot Plant, your main mission will be to plan and conduct trials run at Pilot plant to translate scientific concepts into food product prototypes, ensuring safety and good manufacturing practices in the pilot plant.
A day in the life of technical specialist
o Advise project managers, scientists and laboratory technicians in selecting the appropriate technology and equipment to produce food product prototypes and guide them to technical solutions with higher chance of rapid implementation
o Plan trials in Nestlé Trial Management System according to Design of Experiment
o Settle the line accordingly and conduct trials
o Be a key player in continuous improvement to ensure optimal contribution to projects
o Stimulate collaborations and competences development with Food process engineer (Scale-up), Equipment prototyping team and other R&D centers and external partners
o Ensure compliance to Nestlé standards, ISO and FSSC22000
What will make you successful
o Technical degree related to food or pharmaceutical product (CFC, apprenticeship Technologue Denrées Alimentaires, Maîtrise Fédérale, Bachelor in Life sciences or equivalent)
o Deep knowledge in food extrusion technology, knowledge of any other food technologies would be a big asset
o Min 5 years’ experience in R&D environment or production
o Up to date knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene and environment requirements
o Significant exposure in different project and support activities of the organization would be an asset
o Ability to work on multiple assignments at the same time
o Good team spirit and communication skills; good coaching skills
o Ability to communicate in English and French
